Massage Propaganda
A Massage Studio Built from the Ground Up
Massage Propaganda is another project we completed in the Block Karlín building. As with Tisse Bakery, we took over the premises in a Shell & Core condition, with the task of delivering the complete construction fit-out according to the architect’s design. In addition to the construction work itself, we were also responsible for coordinating all technical systems and building services. The client subsequently completed the interior with their own furniture, bespoke built-in elements, and decorative features.
Glass Blocks as the Defining Interior Feature
The most distinctive architectural element of the interior is the use of glass blocks, which run throughout the entire space. They form the basis of the compact reception area at the entrance as well as the internal light openings in the individual massage rooms, where they gently diffuse natural light and create a calm and relaxing atmosphere. Their repeated use across the interior gives the space a cohesive identity while maintaining a sense of visual lightness.
Finishes that Shape the Atmosphere
The same attention to detail was devoted to the wall finishes, where epoxy plaster alternates with textured grey render. Together with the client, we tested individual surface finishes directly on site to ensure that the final appearance perfectly reflected the intended atmosphere. The combination of different textures is complemented by carefully selected wall and ceiling lighting, creating a harmonious interior where every element contributes to a balanced and thoughtfully designed environment.
