Realization of offices at Oregon House Zličín for Geis CZ.
In January and February 2025, we implemented office space renovations for Geis CZ in the Oregon House administrative building in Prague 5. The offices with a total area of 208 m² were adapted to the client’s needs, while we focused on the effective use of existing elements and materials.
The brief was clear – to adapt the space to the client’s requirements, while making maximum use of existing elements and structures. We adapted the offices, which were originally larger, to the client’s needs, dividing some of them and connecting others. We kept the existing glass and plasterboard partitions, carpet, reception desk and kitchenette, which we moved, modified or supplemented as needed. All changes were designed with an emphasis on cost savings, time and environmental friendliness.
In collaboration with the client, we focused on specific modifications to the space: we connected three offices into one large one, and we added a new carpet in the same shade as the original. We kept the reception area and the existing kitchen had to be rotated within the room with subsequent cabinet adjustments with a carpenter. We also made adjustments to the electrical wiring, relocated and added floor boxes and prepared space for televisions in the meeting rooms. To ensure an ideal working environment, we also made sure that all workplaces were sufficiently lit.
The result is a space that meets the demands for functionality, aesthetics and efficiency. This project shows how, with a minimum of new interventions and an emphasis on the use of existing materials, a practical and pleasant working environment can be created that also saves time, costs and the environment.
