Reconstruction of Toilets – Corso Karlín

How did we deal with it?

A Timeless Concept for Model Restrooms

The reconstruction of the restrooms in the Corso Karlín office building was designed as a model project on the 1st floor, which will serve in the future as a unified standard for the remaining floors of the building. The scope of the project included both the architectural design and the execution itself. The aim was to create a calm, timeless interior with a subtle touch of elegance that would remain functional over the long term and visually clean.

Use of Materials and Color Palette

The selected design works with the natural color tones and texture of stone in beige and gray hues. The minimalist expression of the space is enhanced by the use of large-format wall and floor tiles in a 90 × 90 cm format, which reduce visual segmentation and unify the entire interior. The choice of materials and their calm color palette creates a balanced, timeless foundation that reinforces the cleanliness of the space and its elegant character.

Detailed Interior Design

The washbasin countertop is clad in the same material as the walls, creating a seamless visual connection. The mirror is set directly into the wall cladding, further reinforcing the minimalist character of the space. Recessed washbasins, integrated soap dispensers and faucets, and a waste bin for used paper towels concealed within the countertop all contribute to the maximum visual cleanliness of the design. All fixtures and fittings are designed in black, adding a subtle contrast to the interior and emphasizing its elegant appearance.
